Ingredients
Chicken and Sauce
- 2 lbs boneless skinless chicken breast
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup butter, softened
- 1 (10 ounce) can cream of chicken soup
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 (14.5 ounce) can chicken broth
- 1 package dry Italian dressing mix
Pasta
- 10 oz angel hair pasta, cooked and drained
Instructions
- Place Chicken in Slow Cooker: Arrange the boneless skinless chicken breasts evenly at the bottom of the slow cooker to ensure even cooking.
- Prepare Sauce Mixture: In a large bowl, combine softened cream cheese, softened butter, cream of chicken soup, minced garlic, chicken broth, and the dry Italian dressing mix. Whisk or use an electric hand mixer until smooth and well blended.
- Pour Sauce Over Chicken: Pour the creamy mixture evenly over the chicken breasts in the slow cooker, covering them completely for full flavor absorption.
- Cook in Slow Cooker: Cover with the slow cooker lid and cook on low for 6 hours or on high for 4 hours until the chicken is fully cooked and tender.
- Cook Pasta: While the chicken cooks, prepare angel hair pasta according to the package instructions, then drain and set aside.
- Shred Chicken and Serve: Once done, shred the slow-cooked chicken directly in the slow cooker using two forks. Serve the shredded chicken and creamy sauce over the cooked angel hair pasta to enjoy.
Notes
- You can use chicken thighs instead of breasts for a juicier result.
- Adjust seasoning or add extra Italian dressing mix if you prefer a stronger herb flavor.
- For a lower-fat version, substitute the cream cheese with low-fat cream cheese and use light butter.
- Leftovers can be refrigerated for up to 3 days and reheated gently.
