Ingredients
Mint Simple Syrup Ingredients
- 1 cup organic cane sugar
- 1 cup water
- ¾ cup fresh mint leaves
Instructions
- Combine Sugar and Water: In a small saucepan, add the organic cane sugar and water. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, then reduce the heat to low. Stir frequently until the sugar has completely dissolved into the water.
- Steep the Mint: Remove the saucepan from heat. Add the fresh mint leaves to the hot syrup, allowing them to steep and infuse their flavor for about 15 minutes.
- Strain and Store: After steeping, strain the syrup through a fine mesh sieve into a clean, sterile airtight jar or container. Let the syrup cool completely before sealing with a lid. Store in the refrigerator for up to 7 days.
Notes
- Use fresh, vibrant mint leaves for the best flavor.
- The syrup can be used in iced teas, lemonades, cocktails, and desserts.
- Store chilled and always check for freshness before use.
- You can double the recipe and keep extra syrup refrigerated for up to a week.
