Ingredients
Steak Bites
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1½ pound sirloin steak (cut into bite size pieces, or strip loin, tenderloin, strip steak, or rib eye)
- ½ teaspoon salt (or to taste)
- ½ teaspoon pepper (or to taste)
Garlic Butter Sauce
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley (chopped)
Instructions
- Heat the Olive Oil: Add the olive oil to a large skillet and heat it over high heat until hot. This ensures the steak will sear properly for a flavorful crust.
- Sear the Steak Bites: Place the bite-sized steak pieces into the hot skillet. Season generously with salt and pepper. Let them cook undisturbed for at least 2 minutes to develop a good sear before stirring them. Continue cooking for another 2 minutes until golden brown on all sides. If your skillet is small, cook the steak in batches to avoid overcrowding.
- Prepare the Garlic Butter Sauce: Transfer the cooked steak bites to a plate. Using the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add the unsalted butter. Once melted, add minced garlic and red pepper flakes. Cook for about 30 seconds while stirring continuously until the garlic becomes aromatic and starts to brown, releasing its rich flavors.
- Toss and Serve: Pour the garlic butter sauce over the steak bites and toss well to coat evenly. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve immediately for a flavorful and juicy steak bite experience.
Notes
- Use a large skillet to avoid overcrowding the steak bites and ensure an even sear.
- Cut steak into similar bite-sized pieces for uniform cooking.
- You can substitute sirloin steak with strip loin, tenderloin, strip steak, or rib eye as preferred.
- Adjust red pepper flakes to your preferred spice level.
- Serve with crusty bread or over rice to soak up the garlic butter sauce.
