Ingredients
Steak Bites
- 1½ pounds beef stew meat
- 1 small onion, finely diced or cut in half moon shape
- 1 bottle (12 oz) parmesan garlic sauce
- ½ cup beef broth
Optional Garnishes
- Parmesan cheese, grated
- Chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- Prepare the ingredients: Dice the small onion finely or cut into half-moon slices. Measure out the parmesan garlic sauce and beef broth so everything is ready to add to the crockpot.
- Combine in crockpot: Place the beef stew meat, diced onion, parmesan garlic sauce, and beef broth into the crockpot. Stir gently to combine all ingredients evenly.
- Slow cook the steak bites: Cover the crockpot with the lid and cook on LOW heat for 7 to 8 hours. This slow cooking process ensures the beef becomes tender and absorbs the flavorful sauce. Alternatively, cook on HIGH heat for 3 to 4 hours if short on time, but note the beef may not be as tender.
- Add garnishes and serve: Once cooked, top the steak bites with grated parmesan cheese and freshly chopped parsley. Serve warm directly from the crockpot, and enjoy as is or over rice, mashed potatoes, or pasta for a complete meal.
Notes
- Cooking on LOW heat is recommended for optimal tenderness; HIGH heat shortens cooking time but results in less tender meat.
- Use fresh parmesan cheese and parsley for the best garnish flavor.
- Serve over your favorite sides like mashed potatoes or pasta to soak up the delicious sauce.
- Beef stew meat works best for this recipe due to its fat content and tenderness when slow cooked.
