Ingredients
Shrimp
- 1 pound Argentine Red Shrimp, peeled and deveined
Seasoning
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare the Shrimp: Rinse the Argentine Red Shrimp under cold water and pat them dry thoroughly with paper towels to ensure they crisp up nicely in the air fryer.
- Season the Shrimp: In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Add the shrimp to the bowl and toss well to coat evenly with the seasoning mixture.
- Preheat the Air Fryer: Set your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) and allow it to preheat for about 3 minutes to get an optimal cooking environment.
- Air Fry the Shrimp: Arrange the shrimp in a single layer in the air fryer basket, making sure they are not overlapping. Cook for 8-10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even cooking. The shrimp should be pink, opaque, and slightly crisp on the edges when done.
- Finish and Serve: Remove the shrimp from the air fryer, drizzle with fresh lemon juice, and sprinkle with chopped parsley if desired. Serve immediately for the best flavor and texture.
Notes
- Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket to ensure the shrimp cook evenly and become crispy.
- If using frozen shrimp, thaw completely and pat dry before cooking.
- Adjust garlic and paprika according to personal taste preferences for a milder or spicier flavor.
- Serve with a side of crusty bread or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
- Can be doubled or tripled, but cook in batches to maintain texture and even cooking.
