Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup crushed tortilla chips
- 3 tablespoons taco seasoning
- 2 tablespoons grated onion
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 4 slices cheddar jack cheese
- 4 hamburger buns
- Lettuce, tomato, sour cream, and salsa for topping
Instructions
- Make Patties: In a large bowl, combine ground beef, tortilla chips, taco seasoning, onion, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix well using your hands.
- Divide mixture into 4 equal portions and form into patties. Season each with salt and pepper.
- Preheat Grill or Pan: Preheat a grill or stovetop pan over medium heat.
- Cook Patties: Cook patties for 5 minutes, flip, add cheese, and cook another 5 minutes or until done.
- Assemble Burgers: To assemble: spread 1 tablespoon of sour cream on each bottom bun. Add the patty, then top with lettuce, tomato, and salsa. Add the top bun and serve.
Notes
- Feel free to customize toppings with guacamole or shredded cheese.
- For a healthier version, serve the patty on a lettuce wrap instead of a bun.
- These burgers are great on the grill or in a pan, depending on your preference.
