Ingredients

  • 4 oz semi-sweet chocolate
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 3 whole eggs
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 6 tablespoons all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine chocolate and butter. Microwave for 1 minute and 20 seconds, then whisk until smooth and fully melted.
  3. Add powdered sugar, 3 whole eggs, and 1 additional egg yolk. Whisk until well blended.
  4. Stir in the flour and mix until fully incorporated.
  5. Spray 4 small (1-cup) custard cups with non-stick cooking spray. Divide the batter evenly among them.
  6. Place the cups on a cookie sheet and bake for 15–16 minutes, or until the edges are firm and the center is soft-set.
  7. Remove from oven and let rest for 3–5 minutes.
  8. Carefully invert onto plates and serve warm, optionally with a scoop of ice cream.
