Ingredients
- 2 lbs lean ground turkey breast
- 6 tablespoons BBQ sauce
- 2 tablespoons BBQ dry rub
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 6 hamburger buns, toasted
- Extra BBQ sauce (for topping)
- Pickles
- Cheddar cheese
- Lettuce
- Tomatoes
- Onions
- Caramelized onions
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mix ground turkey with BBQ sauce, dry rub, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Shape into 6 patties. Press a small indentation in the center of each to prevent puffing during cooking.
- Place patties on the baking sheet and bake for about 20 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Serve patties on toasted buns with your favorite toppings and extra BBQ sauce.
Notes
- For grill marks, finish patties on a hot grill for 1–2 minutes per side after baking.
- Use whole wheat or gluten-free buns as needed.
- Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
